Auto Character Setup 4 is a tool for easy character rigging. It provides You with a set of predefined rigs that You can adjust to Your own characters in minutes. It also allows You to customise rigs in any way You want and make any variations of predefined constructions as well as build Your own rig from the scratch if You have this need!

"ASC4 is an amazing tool that every LightWave user should get their hands on. The LightWave community has always needed a tool like Auto Character Setup, and with the new tools and features in version 4, I'm sure people won't be disappointed. ASC4 allows me to quickly setup up a complex character rig in just a short amount of time and I'm able to spend more time animating. I was able to rig a character in about 10 minutes without weight maps and about 45 minutes with weights. Thanks for the great tool Lukasz!"
William Vaughan/Newtek

"It's fun to watch it setup! Not to mention it is a very powerful rigging tool."

Brad Peebler/Luxology

"Creating your own Character Riggings isn't difficult, but it is exacting. ACS 4 is the perfect companion to Lightwave 3D Character Animation; with the free "Albee Rigs," you can simply position the 'Skelegons' within Modeler to fit your Character, and ACS4 completely automates the process of turning it into the exact Rigging used in Lightwave 3D Character Animation! It comes default with Riggings that, themselves, automate so much of the Animation process, they are the perfect Riggings for 'blasting-out' Character Animation!"
Timothy Albee/Rigger/Animator/Writer

"Your plugin is so useful!!"
Harue Ohkawa/DStorm

"ACS4 is great for people that are doing fast production characters and need setup ready in no time... for guys that need to animate as soon as possible or guys that don't want mess with all process of adding bones setup and such"
Berislav Kovacic - CG Animator

ACS4 is really easy in use. Videos below show complete process of rigging, posing as well as sliders controls present in ACS4. The example character hasn't been prepared in any way, it doesn't even have weightmaps painted yet it's ready for animation right after rigging. Check out new Ninja rig demos to see what this rig is capable of.

ACS4 rigs can be customised in any way You want, With ACS Exporter You can store in rigs over 30 options like item colors, IK settings, limits, etc. and any Displacement, Custom Object, Motion Modifier and Master Plugins. Graph Editor Expressions are supported as well. Feel free to modify and enhance ACS4 rigs the way You want.

Yoko required adding more bones that corrected deformation of sleeves and legs. With ACS4 there was no problem with adding these modification to rig and saving them back to rig's file.

ACS4 is not just a predefined rig. It's a complete system for storing entire rigs inside object file. ACS4 is 100% compatible with Smartgons, ultimate rigging tool for Lightwave and technology behind ACS4 allowing for building 100% customisable and re-usable rigs. All ACS4 users can download Smartgons Beta for free and try reverse engineering or building own rigs from the scratch. For more info on Smartgons go here.

Bert and Msaka pictures by Timothy Albee

Timothy Albee's rigs are the first rigs designed by a person that is not directly connected with ACS4 development (we could call this 3rd party rigs ;) that are fully compatible and convertable with ACS4/Smartgons tools. This information should be especially useful for Timothy's "Lightwave3D Character Animation" book readers (check out Wordware's site for more info). Now You can skip rather tedious process of creating a rig and jump up right into animation part. You can adjust ThinGuy and Msaka rigs to any character of Your own and follow the book instructions. Go directly to the Library for more info and free download!

ACS4 price is 90 EURO for both Windows and Mac OSX versions (Lightwave 7.5 or higher required). ACS4 appeared to be very successfull tool and that's why we've decided not to rise a price. You can still get it for 90 EURO even if the Ninja Rig Beta and Quad Rig are out!
The package includes ACS4 plugins, ACS4 Contents (rigs, sample objects and scenes), very detailed (over 130 pictures) .html manual and some bonus tools helpful in rigging/animating process.
ACS4 can be bought through Pawel Olas's online store (be sure to check out complete list of plugins offered here!). Do not be confused when the link moves You to Pawel's site! Also, keep in mind ACS4 is not sent in mail, You'll only get a link You can download ACS4 from.
Note: ACS4 does not work under Lightwave 8.3 currently! Use any previous LW version for rig conversion. You can animate in 8.3 though.
Note: ACS4 does not work under Lightwave 7.5c on OSX! That is because of a bug in this particular release. It is recommended You create (convert) rigs with 7.5 version then switch to 7.5c for animating or stay within 7.5 if You wish. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
